Mr. Michaiel founded Wiotel in 2002 after spearheading wireless networking initiatives within the Intel Communications Group for third generation cellular system (3G) platform Prior to Intel, Michaiel developed advanced GSM systems and was responsible of Ericsson system development & deployments in the US market during his tenure of 17 years at Ericsson and helped managing a global All-IP networks platform development at ATT Labs. With extensive background in WLAN, Voice & Data telecommunications and emerging 3G cellular networks, he has forged a team of industry leading architects and seasoned hospitality veterans to build the most optimized guest-centric network at Wiotel. Mr. Michaiel received his BSEE from Egypt and had numerous graduate work in the areas of software engineering Management and Communications system developments.

Dr. Kulwant Singh Gill, VP of Business Development

Dr. Gill has more than two decades of experience in key Hardware/Software Engineering, Reliability and Quality Control management positions at various technology companies including IDS Inc., Flextronics International, Hyundai Electronics, MMC Technology, Maxtor, Akashic Memories Inc. and Sun Microsystems. Dr. Gill has been credited with many breakthrough developments in software/hardware, quality and reliability engineering. He has also served as an advisor for several technologies start-up companies.

Dr. Gill is currently serving as a Board of Director for Santa Clara County, Open Space Authority. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and M.S. in Software Engineering. He also has a Master of Art in Languages and B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. Dr Gill has had numerous graduate courses and seminars in the areas of software engineering Management and Process Engineering Developments. He is leading the company with a mission to develop and deliver innovative solutions to the marketplace.

Taram S. Devitt-Carolan, Director of Engineering, Systems Integration

Mr. Devitt-Carolan has been involved with Wiotel since its inception and helped to co-found it in 2002. Prior to that Mr. Devitt-Carolan co-founded a business in the hospitality networking industry specializing in wireless infrastructure. Prior to his work in the hospitality technology market, Mr. Devitt-Carolan worked in the internet application and services industry as a senior solutions engineer.

Mr. Devitt-Carolan has over 10 years of extensive web-based, enterprise application development and architecture with intimate knowledge of architecting and integrating applications and infrastructure seamlessly and cohesively. Mr. Devitt-Carolan holds degrees in Computer Science and Business Administration from California Polytechnic State University and has continued his technical education throughout his profession career achieving various certifications in multiple segments of the hi-tech industry.

Anthony Magliulo, Director of Engineering, New Technology

Mr. Magliulo has been an integral member of Wiotel ever since he helped found the company in 2002. He has over 15 years of systems experience and over 10 years of software architecture and development expertise. Mr. Magliulo's knowledge encompasses a broad range of web-based application implementation and integration over multiple platforms and products.

Prior to joining Wiotel's prestigious team, Mr. Magliulo co-founded a hospitality network consulting business with Mr. Devitt-Carolan. Before his foray into the hospitality industry, Mr. Magliulo's services as a software engineer and manager were retained at companies such as Applied Materials and KLA-Tencor. Preceding his work in the semi-conductor industry, Mr. Magliulo worked on various projects for the Department of Defense.

Mr. Magliulo holds a degree in Computer Science, with concentrations in Artificial Intelligence and Operating Systems, and a degree in Business Administration from California Polytechnic State University.

Matthew B. Swanson, Director of Sales

Mr. Matthew B. Swanson joined the Wiotel team February, 2008 as the Director of Sales. He brings to the team great vision, leadership and twelve years of hotel management expertise with an emphasis on sales and hotel operations. He most recently worked for the Crowne Plaza San Jose / Silicon Valley, The Stanford Park Hotel and Woodside Hotels & Resorts. During his time at these hotels he earned his Certified Meeting Professional designation, he was the proud recipient in 2007 of the IHG/HMG Eagle Award for Most Creative Sales Strategy and part of the team that won the 2006 IHG Hotel of the Year award. Mr. Swanson is dedicated to his local community and recently sat on two committees, The Milpitas Image and Milpitas Redevelopment committee. Mr. Swanson studied business and languages at Brigham Young University and the University of Utah.
